Renzo Piano Glass Entrance — Artwork

The main elements in the artwork are the letters in the word “Reading” with the letters arranged in a kind of construction fashion, with small village-like houses on the ground, and above the letters in Reading is a hang glider with extended wings arching out over the horizon. In the far left panel will be the stacked logo, The Morgan Library & Museum. The material the art is on will be clear or mostly transparent continuing to allow light to pass through. I don’t know what the perfect material for the art would be or the best way to attach it. But if interested, this is something we should work out together. The artwork itself will mostly be black and gray with potentially a few areas of color.

The intended audience will be anyone walking or riding by the 225 Madison Ave entrance. And everyone walking into The Morgan Library & Museum. As far as what type of person or age group, this artwork is meant to be a pleasure to see for everyone, no matter their background. I would hope this art inspires a curiosity for Libraries and Reading and Museums.
