The Morgan Library & Museum
Reading at The Morgan Library & Museum
The main element of the artwork is the word “Reading” with the letters arranged in a kind of construction fashion, with small village-like houses on the ground, and above the letters in “Reading” is a hang glider with extended wings arching out over the horizon. In the far left panel will be the stacked words, The Morgan Library & Museum. The material the art is on with be clear or mostly transparent continuing to allow light to pass through. The artwork itself will mostly be black and gray with potentially a few areas of color.
The intended audience will be anyone walking or riding by the 225 Madison Ave entrance. And everyone walking into The Morgan Library & Museum. As far as what type of person or age group, this artwork is meant to be a pleasure to see for everyone, no matter their background. I would hope this art inspires a curiosity for Libraries and Reading.
