NYULh Manhasset Lobby

The call is for hanging sculpture, but I am submitting a proposal for a painting in the Ambulatory entrance that would work along with the hanging sculpture. Looking at the area above the lobby desk that leads to the second floor, a painting about 3’x8’ would be a great way for people to be welcomed into the NYULH Manhasset lobby. This water scene is from the Manhasset Bay, and is combined with the sailboat, sunlight and NYULH Ambulatory Care text.

My artwork idea submitted is just a visual concept, and the final piece would be an oil painting in a Fauvist, Impressionistic and Abstract style. These styles help leave the interpretation of the art open to each person.
